Owners and admins on a Business+, Enterprise Grid, or Enterprise+ plan can turn on Slackbot from the AI settings page in Slack. See Manage Slackbot access and settings in the Slack help center.
To turn on Slackbot on the free or Pro plan, turn on metered consumption. On the Business+ plan, turn on metered consumption to unlock usage beyond the weekly per-member message limit. When you turn on metered consumption, you automatically turn on Slackbot, and usage can draw down Flex Credits. See Set up Flex Credits for Slackbot usage in the Slack help center.
