When you create a custom notification, you’re determining these factors
- The message you want the notification to contain
- When and why you want notifications to be sent
- To whom you want to send the notifications (such as individual users, channels, sales channels, feed channels)
You determine these factors using all the Flow and Slack flow actions features. We recommend you use the notification flows provided as examples to learn how to send the various types of notifications.
We also recommend you clone our notification types and notification flows as your starting point. In particular, to send notifications to sales channels or feed channels, it’s easier to use the complex logic included in our notification flows.
