Student Recruitment Agent (Beta) Subagents and Actions

Use Student Recruitment Agent (Beta) subagents to answer questions, create Academic Interest records, and start applications. You can also provide information about campus tours, visits, and events. These subagents ensure prospective students receive the information they need. This leads to a smoother and more informed enrollment process.

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Education Cloud and the applicable Agentforce add-on license.
Note
Note Beginning in April 2026, agent topics are now called subagents. There are no changes to functionality. During this transition, you may see a mix of the new and previous terms in our documentation.

The Student Recruitment Agent (Beta) includes these subagents and actions:

Subagent Description Included Actions
Admissions and Enrollments FAQ Use this subagent to answer questions and provide information based on your knowledge articles.
Admissions Application Use this subagent to create an application for a student.
Campus Tours, Visits, and Events Registration Use this subagent to assist users in registering for campus tours, campus visits, or campus events.
Request for Information Use this subagent to create an academic interest record when the user explicitly says that they want a recruiter to contact them. For example, “I want a recruiter to contact me.” Only use this topic if the user indicates interest in a specific learning program.

Student Recruitment Agent (Beta) is designed to provide quick responses to users, saving valuable time for your staff. However, some queries require personal attention. To redirect unanswered conversations to a human representative, set up an escalation subagent. See Route Conversations from a Service Agent.

As part of the escalation subagent, you can include the Create Inquiry action. This action creates a case, an educational info request, and an academic interest raised by prospective students, parents, or counselors. Call this action when there isn’t an answer to the user’s question. See Create Inquiry.

Note
Note Some of the actions use flows. We recommend that you clone the flows and update the actions with your new versions. See Editing Standard Agent Action Reference Actions.
