In your Trailmaker Content workspace, import the backpack that contains the source language
and localized files.
Note After you upload the backpack, Trailmaker Content shows the content only in the source language. You don’t see the translated files. If you preview the content from Trailmaker Content, only the source language is available. But don’t worry. When you add the backpack to a release, the translated content is included. -
In Trailmaker Content, add the content to an unpublished release by completing the steps in
Add Content to a Release from Trailmaker Content.
This action adds the manifest item and backpack—which contains the source language and localized files—to the release.
Note Translated content is published to the same content collection as the source language content. - Preview the release by completing the steps in Preview a Release in Trailmaker Release.
- In the release preview, find the content that was translated, and select the appropriate language from the footer of the page.
- Optionally, share the preview URL with subject matter experts (SMEs) from the regions that the content was localized for. For example, to validate that correct translations appear when selecting Japanese or Portuguese (Brazil), find SMEs from those regions to perform quality assurance testing.
- After you confirm that the localized content is correct, publish the release by completing the steps in Publish Content with Trailmaker Release.
Now, a user can view the translated content by selecting the appropriate language from the Language picklist in the footer of any enablement site page.
