You can remove published content from your enablement site by archiving it, which hides the content from learners but doesn’t delete it. You can later restore archived content.

Before you archive content, there are a few things to keep in mind:
- You can archive a trail but leave the individual modules published. The modules still appear on the modules index page on your enablement site, but the trail is hidden from the trails index page.
- If a learner earns a badge and the associated module is later archived, the learner doesn’t lose the badge or the associated points.
- If you archive all the modules in a trail, you must also archive the trail.
- If a learner earned points or badges from content that becomes archived, those points and badges remain attached to the learner’s profile, even after the archive operation is complete.
- Archive content as part of the process to migrate content that’s already been published to a new content collection.
Important To archive a trail and all the modules in it, add the content to a
release in this order.
- First add the trail to the release.
- Then add each module to the same release.
To add the items that you want to archive, complete the steps in Add Items to a Release from Trailmaker Release. Be sure to specify the Archive operation for each item.
After you publish the release, the content is archived.
