Add validation rules to ensure that user inputs
meet your requirements. You can also use validation rules to override the default error messages.
For example, you can add a validation rule that enables users to save an appointment only
after they enter a subject.

When users save an appointment, Salesforce Scheduler checks if all the validation rules
are met. If a rule isn’t met, Salesforce Scheduler shows the configured error message. This
also applies when a service resource runs the Start Appointment,
End Appointment, or Accept Appointment actions
in the My Appointments console.
-
From the object management settings for service appointment, go to Validation Rules.
-
Click New.
-
Enter a rule name, error condition formula, and error message.
-
Save your changes.
