Maintain backup and recovery operations when you reauthenticate a service so that it can access Dynamics with the correct permissions and credentials. You can restore access and functionality to resolve issues such as an inactive authenticated user or a revoked token.
You can re-authenticate a service for one of the scenarios:
- The backup encountered an authentication error.
- You want to change the authentication method.
- You want to change the Authenticated User or the Application User.
- Select the backup service that encountered an error.
- Go to the Dashboard tab.
-
Click Re-Authenticate Service.
You are prompted to select the relevant authentication method. For more information on the two authentication methods, see Protect Your Data with Backup Services for Microsoft Dynamics.
