Re-Authentication for the Archive Managed Package

Re-authentication methods vary depending on the Archive managed package version installed.

Note
Note This content relates to Archive. For Salesforce Archive, see Store Data Externally with Salesforce Archive.

To ensure you're using the latest features and enhancements, we recommend upgrading to the most recent package. For more details, refer to Access to Own Products.

Follow the steps based on your installed package version.

Re-Authenticate from Archive Package 19 and Later

  1. Go to Archive Settings and select Authenticated User.
  2. Click Change Authenticated User.
You're redirected to your Salesforce org to sign in using your credentials.

Re-Authenticate from Archive Package 18 and Previous Versions

  1. Click the Settings gear icon on the Own Archive Home Page.
  2. Go to Integration User and click Change Integration User.
You're redirected to your org to sign in using your credentials.

Re-Authenticate Without Access to Settings

If you can't see or access Archive Settings:

  1. Open the App Launcher in your org.
  2. Search for and select Archive Configurations.
  3. Locate the existing OB_URL within the Archive Configurations and delete it.
  4. Go to the Archive Home Page tab.
  5. From the Welcome screen, select the same Region you were connected to previously.
  6. Click Get Started.
  7. Sign into your org.

Troubleshoot OAuth and Connected Apps Access Blockages

If you encounter unexpected behavior or access blockages when authenticating the Archive app, resolve OAuth and Connected Apps issues.

Symptoms of OAuth access blockages include:

  • Archive dashboard is inaccessible
  • Connected App shows blocked actions in OAuth Usage
  • Can't access Archive after permission updates
  1. In Setup, go to Connected Apps | Connected Apps OAuth Usage.
  2. In the Search field, enter Archive, then select your Archive app.
  3. Verify that all actions associated with the app are unblocked.
If you see blocked actions, select them and click Unblock.
  4. Review the Connected App policies and verify that the System Administrator and Integration User profiles are listed under Permitted Users.
If these profiles are missing, add them to the permitted users list.
  5. Re-authenticate the Archive app.
  6. From the App Launcher, open Archive and verify that the dashboard loads without errors.
  7. If the issue persists, verify that the Authenticated User has the Archive App Admin permission set assigned.

The Archive app is now accessible, and OAuth actions are unblocked.

Note
Note Permission changes can invalidate OAuth tokens. After updating permission sets or the Authenticated User profile, complete these troubleshooting steps before contacting support.
