Picklist Fields in an Anonymization Template

For object fields of type picklist, the Replace with field provides options from which to select.

  • Skip: Anonymize processing skips this field, doesn't anonymize it.
  • Clear: If it is valid for the field to be empty, then Clear is an available option for anonymizing the field. Anonymize processing clears the field of its existing value/selection.
  • Custom…: Selecting this option opens the Custom Replacement Value dialog and displays the field's existing, picklist values. In the dialog, you can update (add to and/or delete from) the existing list of picklist values. Anonymize processing randomly selects one of the picklist values to anonymize the field. For additional detail about using the Custom… option, see Use Custom Values in Anonymization Templates.
