# Picklist Fields in an Anonymization Template

For object fields of type picklist, the Replace with field provides options from which to select.

- Skip: Anonymize processing skips this field, doesn't anonymize it.
- Clear: If it is valid for the field to be empty, then Clear is an available option for anonymizing the field. Anonymize processing clears the field of its existing value/selection.
- Custom…: Selecting this option opens the Custom Replacement Value dialog and displays the field's existing, picklist values. In the dialog, you can update (add to and/or delete from) the existing list of picklist values. Anonymize processing randomly selects one of the picklist values to anonymize the field. For additional detail about using the Custom… option, see [Use Custom Values in Anonymization Templates](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.anonymize_o_use_custom_replacement.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Define custom anonymization patterns when masking data to replace sensitive information with realistic, yet fictitious, data. Create custom patterns across multiple fields for data such as email addresses, phone numbers, or social insurance numbers.").
- Picklist: Anonymize processing randomly selects one of the available picklist values to anonymize the field.
- While editing an anonymize template, if you used the Custom… option to update a field's list of picklist values and you can reset that field to its pre-update list of picklist values.

1. From the field's Replace with drop-down list, select a different option, other than Custom….
2. From the field's Replace with drop-down list, re-select Custom….

The Custom Replacement Value dialog opens.
3. In the dialog, click the provided list of picklist values.

The pre-update list of picklist values is displayed.
