User Permissions Needed
To submit a tactic for approval:

Marketing Planning and Operations Leader permission set group

OR

Marketing Planning and Operations Specialist permission set group

Your Salesforce admin sets up Advanced Approvals before you can submit a tactic for approval. Approval is a separate check from compliance review. It routes the tactic to a reviewer for sign-off.

Note
Note Routing to your manager is the default. Your Salesforce admin can change the approval workflow and its steps to match your company's requirements, so your approval path differs.
  1. On a marketing tactic, click Submit for Approval or Recall from the highlights panel.
  2. Enter any submission comments and submit.

The tactic routes for approval and stays locked while approval is pending.

If you don't have a manager assigned, you get a notification. Ask your Salesforce admin to set your manager.

  3. To pull back a request that's still pending, open the tactic and click Submit for Approval or Recall again.

The tactic's Approvals tab shows a read-only approval history. Approvers act on the request from the My Approvals card. To learn how approvers respond, see Track Your Approvals.
