Your Salesforce admin sets up Advanced Approvals before you can submit a campaign for approval.

By default, approvals route to your manager for sign-off. Your Salesforce admin can change the approval workflow and its steps to match your company's requirements, so your approval path differs.

  1. On a campaign, click Submit for Approval or Recall from the highlights panel.
  2. Enter any submission comments and submit.

The campaign routes for approval and stays locked while approval is pending.

If you don't have a manager assigned, you get a notification. Ask your Salesforce admin to set your manager.

  3. To pull back a request that's still pending, open the campaign and click Submit for Approval or Recall again.

Approvers find their requests on the My Approvals card on the home page of the Marketing Planning & Operations app. Opening a request shows the approval work item, where the approver approves or rejects it. The campaign's Approvals tab in the Planning & Operations area shows a read-only approval history.
