MDP Define How Updates Affect Existing Data

Define how new data updates the existing data in the data stream by changing the load mode.

1. Navigate to the Import tab.
2. Expand Data Streams List.
3. Create a data stream or edit one.
4. At the bottom of the Data Stream page, click Advanced.
5. Select the load mode.
   • Replace — Replaces and overwrites all existing data with new data based on overlapping dates. Replace is the default and the most commonly used option.
   • Upsert — Inserts the new data by updating main entity keys that exist in previous files. New main entity keys are then inserted into the data as new rows of data.
   • Incremental — Adds the new data alongside the old data.
   • Total Replace — Deletes all existing data every time data is ingested.
