First-party sellers, such as manufacturers and distributors, use the Amazon Vendor Central web interface for selling products directly to Amazon. Connecting to the Amazon Vendor Brand Analytics API gives you information about sales and traffic, consumer behavior, and operations.
You can view both order and item-level data using products’ Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN). The data stream type is ecommerce, and data lagging is 1 day.
This API connector brings in consumer data, but if you want inventory data, see Amazon Vendor Central Inventory API Connector.
Important Due to Amazon’s new authentication process, you must re-authenticate all
Amazon accounts once a year to ensure your data is up-to-date. For more information about this
workflow, see Amazon Authentication Workflow.
Note Because of an Amazon limitation, you can fetch only the past 7 days of your data. After
connecting your data to Marketing Cloud Intelligence, the API brings in data according to the
set schedule. The default is daily, and it accumulates in Marketing Cloud Intelligence.
More details about the Amazon Vendor Brand Analytics API connector:
- The connector brings in the product’s ASIN as shown in Amazon Seller Central and maps it as Product Key.
- You can connect more than one marketplace to the connector. However, you must create a separate data stream per marketplace.
- Amazon sometimes requires your approval to share data with Marketing Cloud Intelligence.
