Feed search behavior can vary slightly depending on where you perform the search.
- Feed search isn’t supported for feeds on list views.
- You can search only the feeds you have access to via sharing rules.
- On the Chatter tab, feed search results are also limited by your feed type selections. For example, if you select the To Me feed, and then apply filters and sorting criteria, all of those criteria also apply to the results.
- Feed search results are limited to the posts that are accessible from the context you search within. For example, if you search the feed on a user’s profile, the results include the posts and comments accessible from the user’s profile. Both the posts and comments that are shared by or with the user are included.
- Feed search returns matches for file or link names that are shared in posts, but not in
comments, and only includes the first attachment. For example: if you attach
file1.pdf,file2.pdf, andfile3.pdfto a post, wherefile1.pdfis the first file you attach, onlyfile1.pdfis included in the search results. - Record field changes aren’t included in record feed search results.
