If a field is no longer required in a data stream, you can disable it. Disabling a field removes it from the data stream, and no new data is ingested. You can’t assign the name of a disabled field to a new field.

Before disabling a data stream, review Considerations for Data Stream Field Disablement.
After you disable a field you can’t enable it again, but existing data remains in Data 360. However, you can enable a disabled field in Salesforce CRM connector data stream. See Disable or Re-enable Salesforce CRM Connector Data Stream Fields.
- Go to the Data Streams tab.
- On the Fields tab on the record page, view the fields associated with the data stream.
- In the Search field, enter the field name or scroll the page to locate it.
- At the end of the row for the field, click the down arrow and select Disable Field.
-
Click Disable.
The disabled field remains in the data lake object (DLO), and the data ingested before the field was disabled is still available in the DLO. You can't delete a DLO field.
