Repeats a string a specified number of times.

Syntax

repeat(<string>, <count>)

Arguments

Required

• <string>: The string to repeat.
• <count>: The number of times to repeat.

Returns

Returns a text value that contains the repeated string.

Considerations

• If count is 0 or negative, returns an empty string.
• Large counts may consume significant memory.

Repeat a string multiple times.

SELECT repeat('Hyper!', 2) AS result;

Returns 'Hyper!Hyper!'.
