Inspect the step-by-step breakdown of which conditions were evaluated, applied, or excluded during price determination, including scale-tier details.

The pricing waterfall provides a step-by-step breakdown showing which conditions were evaluated, applied, or excluded during price determination.

View the Pricing Waterfall

  • Open the target Order record.
  • Select the Pricing Details tab.
  • Review header-level conditions (such as order-level discounts or taxes).
  • Select an individual order line item to view line-level execution details. Each calculation step configured in the item's Pricing Calculation Schema is evaluated and listed separately, so a line item that goes through multiple steps shows multiple sets of these details:
    • Pricing Specification: The condition type evaluated at this step.
    • Search Strategy: The search sequence used to find conditions.
    • Condition Found: Indicates whether a matching condition record was found.
    • Condition Value: The rate, percentage, or amount retrieved.
    • Calculation Result: The output generated for this step.
    • Exclusion Status: Indicates whether the step was skipped due to exclusive search logic.

Review Scale-Based Pricing

For conditions configured with scale pricing, the pricing waterfall details how volume tiers were determined.

  • Graduated Scale Pricing: Displays quantity or value intervals (for example, 1-10 units at Rate A, 11-20 units at Rate B) and shows how each tier contributed to the line total.
  • From-Scale Pricing: Displays the threshold met and shows the single tier rate applied across all ordered units.

Inspect Scale Tiers

  • On the Pricing Details tab, locate the step containing the scale condition.
  • Expand the Scale Tiers section to inspect:
    • Tier breakpoints (quantity, volume, or value thresholds)
    • Tier rates
    • Applied tiers based on the order item quantity
