Create Unit of Measure

A unit of measure quantifies the consumption of a usage resource.

To create unit of measure records: Order Capture for Manufacturing
  1. From the App Launcher, find and select Units of Measure.
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter a name, a unique unit code (for example, EA, CS12, or PAL), and a description.
  4. To group the unit of measure under a class, select a unit of measure class.
  5. To show the unit of measure in a specific order in a list, enter a sequence number.
  6. Enter a conversion factor that converts the value of the unit of measure into the default unit of measure of the unit of measure class.
  7. Select a type of measurement.
    You can add values to the type picklist. See Add or Edit Picklist Values.
  8. Select a status.
    • Draft: Indicates that this record is still open for modifications. This is the default value.
    • Active: Indicates that the record is active and available for product packaging and order capture calculations.
    • Inactive: Indicates that the record isn't in use.
  9. Save your changes.
