Data Processing Engine Edits Prebuilt App Node Changes

Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions that have Rebate Management enabled.

By default, the Aggregate by Member with Aggregate Item Details DPE template groups records by rebate type, member, and payout period. And, it aggregates Transaction Amount and Transaction Quantity fields by default.

When you use the prebuilt app to modify a DPE definition that’s cloned from the Aggregate by Member with Aggregate Item Details template, these nodes are modified.

Compute New Or Updated Aggregate Records	Formula	Formula is updated to include the new aggregation fields.
Total Transaction Amount and Total Quantity	Group and Aggregate	If Aggregate with Eligibility Criteria is selected, these changes are made to this node. New rows added for the aggregate fields with function Sum. New fields added for the group fields in the Selected Group Fields list.
Total of Additional Field	Group and Aggregate	If Aggregate with Eligibility Criteria isn’t selected, this node is created with the following: New rows added for the aggregate fields with function Sum. New fields added for the group fields in the Selected Group Fields list.
Append Additional Fields to Total Transaction Amount and Quantity	Append	New node added to append the fields I the Total Transaction Amount and Total Quantity node, and in the Total of Additional Field, depending on whether the Aggregate with Eligibility Criteria checkbox was selected or not.
Upsert Total Transaction Amount and Total Quantity	Writeback	New rows added to display the mapping of the new group and aggregate fields.

The Data Processing Engine Edits app modifies only the nodes that come by default in an Aggregate by Member with Aggregate Item Details template. If you clone the template, and create or edit the new definition, you must manually update the nodes to introduce grouping and aggregation logic.
