Subscribe to Lightning Reports and Dashboards in Slack

Get reports and dashboards that you want to see regularly by subscribing for yourself and others in the CRM Analytics for Slack app. A subscription refreshes the report or dashboard on a schedule that you set and posts a snapshot of the item to you and your specified recipients in Slack.

Create Subscriptions

Important
Important Before a subscription is delivered, a snapshot of the item is generated. The snapshot is your personal view, with your security predicates applied. If you send the subscription to teammates or channels, be aware that they get the snapshot of your view, including any confidential data.

To create a subscription:

  1. Click the three dots next to an item to open its action menu.
  2. Select View Details.
  3. In the Details window, click Subscribe.
  4. Select the days, time, and if applicable, additional people or channels to receive the subscription.
    Note
Note Select the time based on your local time zone. For example, if you want your subscription to arrive at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, select 10:00 AM.
  5. Click Done.
Note
Note You can subscribe to up to 7 reports or dashboards in Slack. These subscriptions are in addition to subscriptions imported from Lightning Experience, where you can have subscriptions for up to 5 reports and 5 dashboards.

Edit Subscriptions

Subscriptions are automatically enabled when created. To disable a subscription or change its options:

  1. On the Home tab, click View & Manage Subscriptions. Alternatively, enter /analytics-lx-rpt-subscriptions (for reports) or /analytics-lx-db-subscriptions (for dashboards) in the message field anywhere in Slack.
  2. Next to the subscription you want to edit, open the menu and select Edit.
  3. Update status, days, time, and recipients, as needed.
  4. Click Done.

Delete Subscriptions

To delete a subscription:

  1. On the Home tab, click View & Manage Subscriptions. Alternatively, enter /analytics-lx-rpt-subscriptions (for reports) or /analytics-lx-db-subscriptions (for dashboards) in the message field anywhere in Slack.
  2. Next to the subscription you want to delete, open the menu and select Delete.
  3. In the confirmation box, click Yes.
Note
Note Deleting a subscription in the CRM Analytics for Slack app stops the subscription in Slack. It doesn’t affect your reports, dashboards, or subscriptions in Salesforce.
