Learn About Student Permissions for Pathways

Make sure your students have the access they need to the objects and fields used specifically by Pathways.

Tip Setting all permissions correctly is essential, but pay especially close attention to setting field permissions. If field permissions are incorrect, students are likely to encounter errors in the portal. It's easy to overlook a field, and tracking down the source of errors can be tricky and time-consuming. So double-check your field permissions—or better yet, triple-check them.

Students using Pathways in the portal also need access to some fields on the Account, Contact, and Course objects. For details, see Configure Student Permissions.
