- Program
- Create a program named School Enrollment Support. Enter Program to support and encourage children from at-risk backgrounds as the summary, and set the program as active.
- Benefit Type & Unit of Measure
- To track this distribution of kits alongside the distribution of kits of other programs, create a benefit type named Distribution with Program Management as the process type and Goods as the type. Create a unit of measure named Kits.
- Program Enrollment
-
Before the distribution event, add program enrollments for children who are already in Salesforce as contacts or accounts and set their status as Applied.
Children from other localities who are visiting their family can be last-minute entries to the distribution activity. To prepare for these anonymous recipients, create an active and anonymous program enrollment record to associate with these disbursements.
- Program Cohorts
- Add the program enrollments for the children into a cohort named Sitka Area. After you add the disbursements for different distribution events, you can report on how the benefit is distributed across different cohorts.
- Benefit
- Create a benefit named School Kit Distribution, select Distribution as the benefit type, select Kits as the unit of measure, and set the benefit to Active.
- Benefit Disbursements
- On the day of the event, use New Ad Hoc Benefit Disbursement on the School Kit Distribution - Sitka Area benefit to track the kids that pick up their kits. Use the Program Enrollment recipient type for the children who you enrolled in the program. Use the Anonymous recipient type for children from other localities who aren't enrolled in the program. Salesforce creates benefit assignments and disbursements for each benefit participant.
