Before You Schedule Address Standardization Updates
Before scheduling address standardization, decide which addresses you want to standardize.
-
Create a standard integration user and enable the
npsp__Pre_Verification_Address__cin the Object Manager under Setup. -
To prevent addresses from being standardized, select Exclude from Updates on the Address record. For example, you may not want to update a vanity address that includes a secondary city associated with a zip code of a major city, which could be overwritten by a standardization update.
-
Addresses previously verified by either Data Integrity or NPSP have the Verified checkbox selected and are automatically excluded from future standardization updates.
-
If you want to include a previously verified address, deselect Verified on the Address record.
-
If you make edits to the Address record without deselecting the Verified checkbox, it is excluded from new standardization updates.
-
Schedule Address Standardization Updates
Schedule a one-time address standardization update, or schedule recurring updates.
-
Click the Data Updates tab.
-

-
Specify a start date and time, based on your browser's time zone as set by your computer's operating system.
-
Estimated Records displays the total number records that are to be standardized.
- Addresses for which standardization was previously attempted but not completed successfully are excluded from this count, for example for incomplete or ambiguous Address records with missing state or zip code.
- If the
Ambiguous?field is markedTruefor a specific Address record, then we don't get a standardized address back from Melissa Data, unless the record is rectified.
-

-

-
Select Default addresses only to only standardize addresses set as a Default Address.
