Gift Transaction Considerations

Review these considerations for how gift transactions affect other objects and records.

  • When the payment method of a gift entry is cash or check, the created transaction status becomes paid. For payment methods other than cash or check, the created transaction status becomes pending.
  • Changing the currency ISO code of a gift transaction in a multicurrency org doesn’t change the currency ISO codes of the related records. This change can cause discrepancies between the amount values for the transaction and for the related records.
