Set Up Education Cloud

Use the guided setup to turn on Education Cloud for your org, and then configure apps and features. Make sure that you assign the Education Cloud Full Access permission set to yourself, as the admin.

Note Starting in March 2023, Salesforce offers Salesforce for Education, which includes integrated platform solutions and managed packages. This article provides information about Education Cloud, a platform solution. For information about managed package products, see Admissions Connect, Education Data Architecture, or Student Success Hub. If you're not sure which version your institution uses, check with your Salesforce administrator.

Out-of-the-box Anypoint connectors integrate with Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, and D2L Brightspace. For simpler use cases with fewer transformations, use a Flow-based Canvas connector.
• Academic Calendar Setup with AI Tools
  A guided session builds an academic calendar for your institution, including terms, registration windows, and add and drop deadlines. When you describe your calendar dates or provide a source file to a coding agent, the agent validates the dates and creates the academic year, term, and session records. This foundation supports registration, enrollment, and student communications.
• Multi-Campus Institutional Hierarchy Configuration with AI Tools
  A guided session builds a multi-campus account hierarchy that represents your institution's system, campuses, colleges, and departments. When you describe your campus structure or provide a source document to a coding agent, the agent analyzes the source and creates the account hierarchy. This foundation supports enrollment, reporting, and role-based access.
• Education Cloud Org Configuration with AI Tools
  A guided session sets up a foundation for your Education Cloud org. Describe your institution's goals to a coding agent. The agent analyzes your org and turns on domain features that meet your priorities, such as Student Success, Academic Operations, or Recruitment and Admissions.
