Education Cloud uses various objects to represent people, families, organizations, and relationships in your institution.
Person accounts represent nearly all individuals in Education Cloud. The only individual that a person account doesn't represent is a representative from an admissions consulting firm. Use contact records to represent these commissioned agents, who submit applications on behalf of the students that they represent.
To represent families, set up and create household accounts. To represent organizations, schools, colleges, departments, and services, use business accounts.
To represent relationships within your institution, use the Group Membership objects, including Account Contact Relationships and Contact Contact Relationships. These relationships link an individual to a household, other individuals, services, or organizations.
