Mentoring Participants

Set up profiles, permission sets, and sharing for your facilitators, mentors, and mentees.

There are several varieties of mentors. A mentor is a senior student or staff member who provides tutoring to first-year students. An alumnus from your institution can mentor students on networking or skills development. An outside organization that sets up work-study programs for students can be a mentor. Represent mentors by using the Provider Offering object.

A user becomes a mentee when they enroll in a mentoring program, or when you identify a related program enrollment record in their mentoring profile. Mentees can be students in your institution, but they can also be new staff members.

Mentoring Facilitators use the Mentoring app in Education Cloud to create programs, create mentoring profiles, assign mentors to mentees, manage assessments, and so on.
