Learner Profiles for Advisors

The Learner Profile object stores student data aggregated from multiple objects. Therefore, the learner profile record page in Education Cloud provides a unified, actionable view of students. Find all the relevant details in one location where you can search, filter, and sort through learner profiles to create criteria-based list views. Then use the list views to take bulk actions.

Update Learner Profile Records

Run the Data Processing Engine (DPE) definition from Education Cloud, Update Learner Profiles with CRM Data, to update your learner profile records with the latest data from related objects. You can include additional fields by modifying the definition.

With Flow Builder, you can create a flow that runs a scheduled DPE job to automatically and regularly update your records.

Review these considerations for data integrity before running the DPE using the Update Learner Profiles with CRM Data definition:

• Unique learner profile records are created only for unique student contact records.
• If there are multiple academic term enrollments that are active and current, the related learner profile is updated with any one of those academic term enrollments. This also applies to the Major, Expected Graduation Date, Primary Advisor, and Secondary Advisor fields.

Example

1. Add a data source node to the Data Processing Engine definition, Update Learner Profiles with CRM Data.
2. Configure the node for the Program Enrollment object.
3. Add and configure a filter node for active program enrollment.
4. Add a filter node for the program name, Study Abroad.
5. Add and configure additional nodes as needed.
6. Save your changes.
7. Run the DPE to populate the learner profile records.

2. Add picklist values Primary and Secondary to Major Type.
3. Modify the Data Processing Engine Definition, Update Learner Profiles with CRM Data:
   1. Add and configure a data source node for the Learner Program object.
   2. Add and configure a filter node for primary learner programs.
   3. Add and configure a filter node for secondary learner programs.
   4. Add a join node to combine the outputs of the filter nodes.
   5. Add and configure additional nodes as needed.
   6. Save your changes.
   7. Run the DPE to populate the learner profile records.
