Track Gift and Donor Trends with Rollups in Education

Metrics related to donor giving and gift designations are available at a glance in the Fundraising Philanthropy and Partnerships app.

Note To use this feature, the person account page must be set as an org-wide default.

Person accounts were not built to work with Nonprofit Success Pack and therefore, are not supported for use with NPSP. If Person Accounts are not already enabled in your org, don't enable them. Once you turn on Person Accounts in your organization, you can't turn the feature off. See NPSP and Person Accounts in NPSP FAQ.

In the Philanthropy and Partnerships app, two sections show donor and gift-related metrics: The Donor Giving Summary is on the Overview tab of the donor's business account page. The Gift Designation Summary is on the Gift Designation Page.

If you don't see the Donor Giving Summary or the Gift Designation Summary in the Philanthropy and Partnerships app, it probably hasn't been set up yet. Donor Giving Summary Rollups

The Donor Giving Summary is on the donor's account page in the Philanthropy and Partnerships app. You can change which data is shown in the summary by editing it in the Lightning App Builder.

The Donor Giving Summary is automatically updated after it receives data from the related objects.

Recurring Gift Summary: Rolls up this data from the Donor Gift Summary object: Total Paid Recurring Installments, Total Paid Recurring Installments Amount, First Recurring Gift Start Date, Current Recurring Gift Start Date, and Last Recurring Gift Payment Date.
Soft Credit Summary: Rolls up this data from the Donor Gift Summary object: Soft Credit Count, Last Soft Credit Amount, Last Soft Credit Date, First Soft Credit Date, First Soft Credit Amount Highest Soft Credit Date, Highest Soft Credit Amount, Total Hard and Soft Credits, Total Hard and Soft Credit Amount.
Notable Gift Metrics: Rolls up this data from the Donor Gift Summary object: Best Gift Year, Gift Count, First Gift Amount, First Gift Campaign, Highest Gift Amount, Highest Gift Year Amount, and Average Gift Amount.
Gift History: Rolls up this data from the Donor Gift Summary object: First Gift Date, Second Gift Date, Last Two Years Gift Count, Gifts Two Years Ago Amount, Last Year Gift Count, Gifts Last Year Amount, Lowest Gift Amount, and Total Gifts Amount.
Gift Year Summary: Rolls up this data from the Donor Gift Summary object: Gifts This Year Amount, Current Year Gift Count, Days Since Last Gift, Last Gift Amount, and Last Gift Date.
Pledged Revenue: Rolls up this data from the Donor Gift Summary object: Booked Pledges and Total Bookable Revenue. This rollup shows the total value of formally committed (written) pledges and the total value of all transactions and booked pledges minus any transactions associated with booked pledges from the donor. For example: Pledged revenue = [(Total formally committed pledges) + (Total transactions and booked pledges)] - (Transactions associated with booked pledges from the donor).; Note If you don't see pledged revenue data in the rollups, add Booked Pledges and Total Bookable Revenue to the Donor Gift Summary and then run the DonorGiftSummary DPE job.

Gift Designation Rollups

The Gift Designation page in the Philanthropy and Partnerships app updates the gift data as you record designations. You can change which data is shown in the summary by editing it in the Lightning App Builder.

Overall Statistics: Lists the following metrics from the Gift Designation object: the First Paid Transaction Date, Last Paid Transaction Date, Total Transaction Count, Total Transaction Amount, Lowest Transaction Amount, Highest Transaction Amount, and Average Transaction Amount.
Statistics by Year: Lists the following metrics from the Gift Designation object: the Current Year Transaction Count, Current Year Transaction Amount, Last Year Transaction Count, Last Year Transaction Amount, Last Two Year Transaction Count, and Last Two Year Transaction Amount.
