Philanthropic Research Automation in Education

Use flows and Data Processing Engine (DPE) definitions to create and manage philanthropic research records. To customize a flow, clone, make your changes, and then activate the cloned flow.

Prospect Research: Promote Party Philanthropic Indicator to Party Philanthropic Occurrence Flow: Creates a party philanthropic occurrence record if one doesn't already exist for the Party Philanthropic Indicator, and associates the indicator with the new occurrence.
Prospect Research: Create Party Philanthropic Milestone Flow: Initiates a DPE job to create a Party Philanthropic Milestone record based on the current date, fiscal year, and constituent role types passed into the flow. Sends an email to the flow user if the job fails.

Note
This flow contains two values in the ConstituentRoleRoleTypes variable. If you add constituent roles, make sure you place a comma between the roles without spaces.
Create Party Categories DPE Definition: Creates party category records with appropriate classifications based on a donor's giving status. If the donor gave last year but not this year, the job assigns the LYBUNT and Lapsed Donor classifications. If the donor’s last giving was before last year and hasn’t given since then, the job assigns SYBUNT and Lapsed Donor. If the donor gives in the current year, the job clears these classifications.
Create Prospect Research Milestone DPE Definition: Creates a Party Philanthropic Milestone with a milestone date of current job run that combines the data from the person account and contact profile. The job then iterates through each Party Philanthropic Assessment record, filling in missing financial information using the latest assessment’s data. It also counts the Party Philanthropic indicators, occurrences, and assessments, totaling them and setting the value on the Party Philanthropic Milestone.
Before you run a DPE job, clone and activate it. To avoid problems with the Prospect Research: Create Party Philanthropic Milestone flow, leave the API name for the DPE job as Create_Prospect_Research_Milestone when you save the DPE job.

Note Person accounts were not built to work with Nonprofit Success Pack and therefore, are not supported for use with NPSP. If Person Accounts are not already enabled in your org, don't enable them. Once you turn on Person Accounts in your organization, you can't turn the feature off. See NPSP and Person Accounts in NPSP FAQ.

Update Planned Gift When Expectancy Changes Flow: Updates the deferred future value, future value, and present value of a planned gift when the expectancy field of the planned gift record changes.
