The Donor Support Profile is an Account page in the Fundraising Operations app that's customized to contain pertinent information about gift commitments, one-time gifts, commitment installments, alerts, and event timeline on a donor or a prospect. This comprehensive view helps support staff to understand and help their donors. You can customize both Person Accounts (for individual donors) and Business Accounts (for households and partners). Customize the profile to meet the unique needs of your org and the preferences of your support staff. Use the Donor Support Profile as a one-stop-shop for helping constituents with their account, donations, and commitments.

Note
Note Person accounts were not built to work with Nonprofit Success Pack and therefore, are not supported for use with NPSP. If Person Accounts are not already enabled in your org, don't enable them. Once you turn on Person Accounts in your organization, you can't turn the feature off. See NPSP and Person Accounts in NPSP FAQ.

Design a Donor Support Profile

Customize the Donor Support Profile to meet the unique needs of your org and support staff.

You can configure the donor profile any way you want. However, we recommend this configuration.

  1. On the Fundraising Operations app, edit the account page with the Lightning App Builder.
  2. Change the page layout template to Three Regions.
  3. Replace the Highlights Panel with the Summary Card at the top left of the page.
  4. Customize the Summary Card with the fields that are most helpful to your org's support staff.
  5. Add a Timeline component below the Summary Card.
  6. Customize the Timeline or use the included Fundraising Timeline configuration.
  7. At the top of the center pane, add the Action Launcher.
  8. Select an Action Launcher Deployment that contains the quick actions that are most useful to the support staff. Pause Installment, Upgrade/Downgrade, and Cancel Installment are recommended actions to be included.
    Note
Note Ask your administrator to create the Action Launcher Deployment that you need if it doesn’t already exist.
  9. On the Page Tabs component, add and configure the tabs for Overview, Gift Commitments, One-time Gifts, Cases, Donor Household, and Donor Details.
  10. At the top right of the page, add a Flexcard component and configure it to show recent record alerts.
  11. Below the Recent Items pane, add the Related Records Detail Display component and configure it to show the upcoming and overdue gift commitment installments.
