DMO Relationships
The financial aid DMOs connect to model a student's aid lifecycle, from application through disbursement. Understanding how they relate helps you map your data correctly.
- The Individual DMO is the center of the model. Every financial aid DMO links to a student
through an
IndividualIdforeign key. - A student's application is stored in the Learner Financial Aid Application DMO. Each application leads to one or more award offers in the Benefit Assignment DMO.
- Each award offer pays out through one or more disbursements in the Benefit Disbursement DMO across the academic year.
- The Benefit Disbursement Period DMO defines each payment period. Disbursements, cost summaries, and academic progress evaluations all tie to a period.
- The Learner Cost Summary DMO holds the total estimated cost for a period. The Learner Cost Item DMO holds the individual line items that make up that total, such as tuition, fees, and housing.
