Add a semantic data layer to your Education Cloud org. This semantic layer
organizes your data into a single, reusable model that calculates metrics consistently across
Tableau Next components, agents, and Marketing Cloud Growth campaigns. The Education Cloud
semantic data model (SDM) is available in a data kit and with your Tableau Next for Education
app.

Before you start:
The semantic data model contains semantic data objects that interpret data model objects. It
forms a layer that gathers all of your Education Cloud data into a unified,
comprehensive structure and interprets data points consistently across the platform. This layer
of data improves the reliability of Tableau Next reports and dashboards, strengthens the
intelligence of AI agent interactions, and powers targeted campaigns in Marketing Cloud Growth,
helping teams analyze performance, generate data, and make decisions with confidence.
-
From the App Launcher, search and select Data Cloud.
