Create a Waitlist for a Course Offering

To create a waitlist for a course offering, assign a waitlist status and set a waitlist capacity.

User Permissions Needed
To create waitlists for course offerings: Education Cloud Full Access
To edit relevant objects: Education Cloud Advanced Academic Operations Admin Access
  1. Create a course offering record or edit an existing one.
    1. From the App Launcher, find and select Course Offerings.
    2. Click New to create a record or select an existing record to edit.
  2. Set the waitlist status to Open.
    The waitlist status determines whether a section has a waitlist and how the waitlist manages students.
  3. Set a waitlist capacity.
    The waitlist capacity determines the maximum number of students who can join the waitlist.
  4. Save your changes.

Change the waitlist status and capacity as needed during registration to manage high-demand courses. Changes to the waitlist status don’t affect active enrollment offers. See Manual Course Waitlist Management.
