Corporate Relations brings partnerships, placements, and outcome data into one connected model, so you can see how partnerships translate into student outcomes. Institutions can manage relationships with external organizations such as employers, training providers, and research partners while linking those relationships directly to student outcomes.

This connected data model helps institutions see how education translates into real-world outcomes. Institutions can also identify which partnerships drive student success and make more informed decisions about where to invest and grow.

How Corporate Relations Works

Partnership agreements and partnership person placements work differently from the standard account-account relationship and account-contact relationship records model. Account-account relationship and account-contact relationship records show that a relationship exists, but they don't govern the terms of a partnership or measure its results. In Corporate Relations, a partnership agreement is a governed, time-bound agreement rather than a simple link, and a partnership person placement drives Outcome Management metrics that a relationship record can't.

Corporate Relations adds two objects that work together to record partnerships and the placements delivered under them.

Partnership Agreement
A formal, renewable agreement that defines and governs your institution's relationship with an external organization, capturing the scope, duration, and expected outcomes of a corporate, research, or workforce partnership
Partnership Person Placement
A verified placement delivered under a Partnership Agreement. Each placement links a person to a specific program and partner organization, and covers experiences, such as on-campus roles, research, internships, and employment. Placements connect to Outcome Management, so career and skill outcomes roll up alongside a student's academic record.

In Corporate Relations, an automated flow keeps this data current. When placements change, the flow updates the placement records and refreshes the outcome counts used in Outcome Management analytics.

Tip
Tip Use account relationship records for general connections between accounts and contacts. Use Corporate Relations objects to govern a partnership and measure the student and workforce outcomes it produces.
