Academic Score Calculations

Calculate academic scores, such as term GPA, for students enrolled in an academic term by using configurable policy rules. Admins define the calculation logic once, and Education Cloud applies it to every enrollment in the term in a batch.

The academic score calculation process includes a context definition, an expression set, policy rules, and flows. The context definition defines the data that the rule reads, such as academic term enrollment, course offering participants, grades, and credits. The expression set holds the calculation logic. One policy rule wraps the expression set and context definition, while the other policy rule assigns that policy rule to an academic term. The flows run the rule-based process to calculate the GPA of the students enrolled in an academic term.
