To sync appointments to resource calendars: Workforce Scheduling Admin

Calendar sync reflects assigned work as events on the Salesforce calendar so that resources see their schedule where they manage their availability.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Workforce Scheduling, and then select Sharing.
  2. On the Assigned Resource Sharing tab, enable Sync to Resource Calendars.
This setting creates a Salesforce calendar event for each assigned appointment. Service resources see these events even without record access, so calendar sync works independently of appointment sharing. Calendar events are synced back as busy and locked resource absences.
  3. Select the service appointment statuses that trigger calendar events. You can select different statuses for field or on-site appointments.
When an appointment enters one of these statuses, Workforce Scheduling creates a calendar event. When the appointment is rescheduled or its time changes, Workforce Scheduling updates the event. By default for on-site appointments, Scheduled, In Progress, and Completed are selected. By default for field appointments, Dispatched, In Progress, Completed, and Cannot Complete are selected.
