Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions
To access the Field Service mobile app, users need the Field Service Mobile user license.
To be scheduled for work, users also need the Workforce Scheduling permission set license.
User Permissions Needed
To create permission sets: Manage Profiles and Permission Sets
To manage users: Manage Users
To create service resources: Create on service resources

Experience Builder site users get the same license and permission assignments. After you assign access, create a service resource record for each worker.

To schedule mobile workers, assign the Workforce Scheduling permission sets. These permission sets give workers access to work orders, service appointments, service resource records, and the app.

  1. Assign the Workforce Scheduling permission sets.
    1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, and then select Permission Sets.
    2. Click Workforce Scheduling User License.
    3. Click Manage Assignments, and then click Add Assignments.
    4. Select the mobile users, and then click Assign.
    5. Repeat these steps for the Workforce Scheduling Field Resource Permissions permission set.
Assigning the Workforce Scheduling User License permission set consumes one Workforce Scheduling permission set license.
  2. Create a permission set for the Field Service mobile app.
    1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, and then select Permission Sets.
    2. Click New.
    3. Enter a label, such as Field Service Mobile. The API Name field is populated for you.
    4. In the License field, select Field Service Mobile.
    5. Save the permission set.
  3. Select the required system permissions.
    1. In the permission set, click System Permissions, and then click Edit.
    2. Select Field Service Standard, Field Service Mobile, and API Enabled.
    3. Save your changes.
  4. Configure the object permissions.
    1. In the permission set, click Object Settings.
    2. Click an object name, and then set its object and field permissions.
    3. Save your changes.

Give mobile users at least these object and field permissions. Assign more permissions on objects such as assets, accounts, and products to match your business process.

Create a service resource record for each mobile user. Give each user Read access to their service resource record. If the org-wide default for service resources is Private, share each record with the related user or create sharing rules. See Grant Access to Records.

To configure branding, geolocation tracking, and offline priming for different user profiles, create Field Service Mobile Settings in Setup.
