Deactivating your channel will stop all messaging traffic immediately. Here’s what you need to know:
- You won't be able to respond to any incoming messages.
- Any inactive messaging sessions will end after 48 hours of inactivity.
- Your reps can close active sessions.
Don't worry, you can reactivate your channel at any time. Once deactivated, you can update your data storage region.
Note
- Deactivation and data storage region modification aren’t available for unified channels.
- For a few UCP WhatsApp channels, you may see the error:

This is a display issue only and has no impact on core functionality, such as channel activation, messaging, or your channel's compliance with data storage policies. We are aware of the issue and are working on a solution.
