Important
Important Unified Knowledge is scheduled for retirement with the Summer ’27 release. You can continue using Unified Knowledge connectors until then, but we recommend transitioning to Salesforce Enterprise Knowledge, powered by Data 360, the replacement feature for Unified Knowledge. Salesforce Enterprise Knowledge offers a robust solution for integrating external data sources with your knowledge base, so you can ground Agentforce with external knowledge to deliver accurate responses. Learn about Unified Knowledge retirement in Help.

Sources and Connectors

  • See the Zoomin documentation for information about each connector. Zoomin includes details on how to prepare connectors and third-party systems for use with Salesforce, any known limitations or necessary credentials and permissions, actions that trigger content updates in Salesforce, mapping data categories to third-party knowledge, steps for adding knowledge sources, field reference information, and other useful information.
  • The Atlassian Jira Cloud connector doesn’t import table height and width sizes from source content. Consequently, the table sizes in articles imported and synced into Salesforce don’t match those in Jira.
  • The Guru connector adds several known issues to articles imported and synced into Salesforce. The issues include PDF files aren’t imported, the small heading style isn’t aligned, and many items aren’t applied, including block quote font color, code block style, text color and highlights, code snippet font and background color. Additionally, table rows with even numbers have gray backgrounds in Guru but no background color in Salesforce.
  • The Salesforce connector to Salesforce orgs syncs only Knowledge articles in a published state.
  • To understand a high-level view of what is needed for each source and its connector for use with Salesforce, see this table with links to Zoomin documentation.
  • When you import third-party articles by using Sitemap connector, the articles don’t always render correctly, and issues can occur with the styling of the content.
  • The Helpjuice connector imports articles into Salesforce with some formatting issues. The content in tabs, accordions, decision trees, and buttons appears as plain text without any formatting or interactive elements.
  • When you sync articles with the MindTouch connector, it also syncs non-article content, such as categories, along with the articles.
  • Unified Knowledge doesn't support macros.
