Keep your IT Hardware Asset Management and Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
records aligned with event-driven, bidirectional synchronization. Map corresponding fields,
establish a source of truth, and configure field value translations to resolve data conflicts
between systems.

From the App Launcher, find and select CMDB and Service Graph.

In the navigation menu, scroll to Administration and expand
CMDB.

Select CI and Asset Sync Settings.

Select Field Synchronization tab.

Select Add Field Mapping.

Select an Asset Field.

Select a CI Field.

Select a Source of Truth.
The source of truth determines which system is authoritative and overwrites values when
discrepancies occur.

Map specific Source Field Values to Target Field
Values.
For example:
- Map a CI value of Ordered to an Asset value of On
Order.
- Map multiple CI values (In Build, In
Test, and Integration) to a single Asset value like
Pending Install.
