The Standard action dialog step supports standard invocable actions only. It doesn’t support other action types, including custom invocable actions, dynamic actions, quick actions, or button actions. To learn more about Salesforce actions and view available standard invocable actions, see the Actions Developer Guide.

Before adding a standard action to your bot, make sure that the user profile and permission sets associated with the bot have the necessary permissions to run the action.

  1. From the Dialog Component Library, drag the Standard Action step onto the canvas.
  2. In the Step Properties panel, select the standard action you want to use with your bot.
  3. For each input, select or create a bot variable or specify a custom value to pass information into the standard action.
  4. For each output, select or create a bot variable to store the output of the standard action. You can reference the variable in other bot actions, or you can include it in a bot message or question using merge syntax.
  5. Save the dialog.
