What Is Salesforce in Claude (Beta)

Salesforce in Claude is the Salesforce product line for sellers and revenue teams, built on Salesforce Platform and delivered through the Sales Cloud in Claude plugin. It connects Claude to your Salesforce org through a secure Salesforce MCP connection. Once connected, sellers and revenue teams can ask Claude questions about their accounts, deals, and pipeline. Sellers can also use pre-built skills to research prospects, prep for calls, build account plans, and more, all without leaving Claude.

Note Salesforce in Claude is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer's sole discretion.

Important Companies that access Claude only through a third-party cloud provider, such as AWS Bedrock or Google Cloud Vertex AI, can't currently use Claudeforce. To access Claudeforce, companies need a direct Anthropic subscription — Claude Enterprise, Claude Team, or Claude Console. This restriction doesn't affect companies with existing third-party access.

Before sellers can use Salesforce in Claude, an admin sets it up: activate the MCP Server, create and configure the External Client App (ECA), and connect Claude to your org. To get started, see Activate the MCP Server and Create and Configure the External Client App (ECA).

Note During this beta, most skills are read-only or limited to drafts for your review, making sure that nothing is created, updated, or deleted in Salesforce without you taking that action yourself. However, several skills now support direct record create and update functionality when users are given access via the Salesforce MCP server settings.
