Configure Permission Group Settings
Permission group settings apply to the users assigned to each group. Configure them per group so users get the behavior that fits how they work.
- From Setup > Installed Packages, find Salesforce Maps and click Configure.
- Open Permission Groups and select the group.
- Click Edit.
- To improve the plotting time of marker layers on mobile, select Visible Area Enabled on Mobile by Default. When selected, Maps restricts results to the current map view, so only previously geocoded records plot. To let users see all records, leave it cleared.
- Save.
Configure Global Preferences
Global preferences apply org-wide.
- From Setup > Installed Packages, find Salesforce Maps and click Configure.
- Open the global preferences settings.
- To make route visibility follow your role hierarchy, select Routing Role Security. If you leave it cleared, any user can view and create routes for other users.
- Save.
Warning Don't select Debug Logs. It's reserved for Customer Support to capture data when you have an open case.
- Set the Default Basemap in Salesforce Maps
Control which map style users see by default when they open Maps.
