Momentum Conversation Capture and Intelligence

Momentum is the data foundation that powers Salesforce conversation intelligence. Connect your calendar, calls, and email to automatically capture every customer conversation in Salesforce with Momentum. Momentum turns the captured data into action, giving sales teams AI-powered next-best actions, deal risks, and coaching insights drawn from real conversations.

Momentum listens to your customer calls, structures the conversation, and adds the data to your Salesforce records. As conversations add up, Momentum builds context across a customer's interactions and surfaces account insights that a single conversation doesn't show. Momentum delivers call summaries and insights where your teams work in Salesforce and Slack.

  • Requirements and Considerations for Momentum
Before setting up Momentum, confirm that your org has the required external accounts and Salesforce features, and check whether any incompatible features are enabled. Momentum requires Google Workspace™ or Microsoft 365™, Data 360, and Einstein Generative AI. Momentum isn’t compatible with Einstein Activity Capture or Einstein Conversation Insights.
  • Set Up Salesforce for Zoom
Connect Salesforce for Zoom to your calendar and meetings.
  • Exclude Emails, Events, and Video Calls from Capture
Control what Momentum captures, syncs, and records. An exclusion applies to all Momentum configurations and users. Excluded data isn’t added to the activity timeline of related Salesforce records, and excluded events don’t sync between Salesforce and the connected calendar account. Adding exclusions doesn’t remove previously stored data. Exclusions only filter incoming data after you save an exclusion value to your settings. Users can add more addresses to their own excluded addresses lists in their personal settings.
  • Customize Video Call Recording Options
By default, Momentum uses your connected account’s video platform. Add Momentum Notetaker as a backup to record and transcribe the meeting. Customize Notetaker's appearance and create a custom consent message that attendees see when they join a recorded meeting. These settings apply to all Momentum configurations.
