Create a Sales Program with AI Tools

A guided session creates a sales onboarding or ramp program for your Salesforce users. Describe the program to a coding agent. The agent creates the content, publishes the program, and enrolls the people you name.

Scenario

Jordan, an Enablement admin at Northstar Analytics, a fictional company, needs a new class of sales development representatives (SDRs) ready by next Monday. Getting a class ready in the Enablement builder means creating the program, adding exercises, attaching learning content, defining a milestone, publishing, and assigning each person.

Jordan connects a coding agent to the Headless 360 Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server (Beta) and describes the program in one message. The agent checks that Enablement is licensed, offers a template or a from-scratch plan, and waits for Jordan to confirm the plan, the content links, the milestone measure, and the enrollment list. After Jordan approves, the agent builds and publishes the program and enrolls the class. Jordan then opens the published program and confirms the assignees.

Note
Note

Headless 360 MCP Server is a beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this beta service is at the Customer's sole discretion. For more information, see Headless 360 MCP Server (Beta).

Requirements

  • Design and Deliver Enablement Programs permission, and a content management system (CMS) authoring permission on the Enablement workspace. Any one CMS authoring permission is enough. The org needs an Enablement permission set license (Enablement, not Enablement Lite). Turning on Enablement creates the Enablement workspace.

  • A coding agent, such as Agentforce Vibes or Claude Code, connected to the Headless 360 MCP Server (Beta) with access to the sales program skills. Agentforce Vibes doesn't need a separate installation. Agentforce Vibes installs, turns on, and updates AI Skills automatically. Manage them from the Skills page, under Toolkit, in Agentforce Vibes. For Claude Code, install the Salesforce Development plugin, which provides Salesforce-specific skills and org context through hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.

Suggested Technology and Experience

Creating a sales program with AI tools is for Enablement admins who are comfortable with Setup and with running a coding agent against a connected org. No specific model or prior skill experience is required.

Tips for the Coding Agent

  • Describe the program in one message. Include the goal, duration, content links, who to enroll, and the start date. For example: "Create a two-week SDR onboarding program. Watch this intro video [URL], read the playbook [URL], add a milestone for the first qualified meeting, and enroll Priya and Marco starting Monday."

  • Review the plan before the agent builds. If you provide only a goal, the agent drafts a starting plan for you to edit. Confirm the plan, the content links, the milestone measure, and who to enroll before the agent publishes the program.

  • Approve creation, publishing, and enrollment. Read operations don't need approval. Changes in Setup and changes to records do.

  • Give the agent real URLs for videos and documents. The agent uses only the videos, documents, and filenames you provide. Never paste credentials into a prompt. The agent acts as your authenticated user through the connected org.

Limits on Creating a Sales Program

  • Creating a sales program with a coding agent creates an internal Enablement program (program type Enablement). It doesn't create a partner program or an Enablement Lite program.

  • A program can have at most one outcome milestone. Other checkpoints are ordinary milestones, and each milestone needs a real measure and a target. If no measure in the org matches the goal, the agent says so instead of inventing one.

  • Publishing makes the program available for enrollment. You can't reverse program status changes after people are enrolled.

  • You can't reuse the template structure. Template content isn't copied. You still provide links, or turn content tasks into action items such as shadowing or a role-play.

  • Enrollment starts on a weekday, today, or later. A weekend date moves to Monday.

  • You can't enroll people who don't have the Enablement user permission.

  • When you delete a learning item or a measure, you can't restore it.

  • Coaching feedback on a sales call is a separate learning capability. It needs the Einstein for Sales add-on. This task doesn't create it.

Create a Sales Program with a Coding Agent

Describe a sales program to a coding agent to create the content, publish the program, and enroll users.

User Permissions Needed
To create, publish, and assign a sales program through a coding agent: Design and Deliver Enablement Programs
To create program content: A content management system (CMS) authoring permission on the Enablement workspace

For Claude Code, install the Salesforce Development plugin, which provides Salesforce-specific skills and org context through hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.

Create the sales program in the connected org.

  1. Describe the program you want. Include the audience, the goal, the duration, the content, and who should be enrolled.
  2. Review the agent's check of the Enablement permission set license, the Design and Deliver Enablement Programs permission, content access, and the Enablement workspace.

If a check fails, the agent stops and tells you what's missing.

  3. Choose a template or start from scratch.

You pick the template or the from-scratch plan.

  4. Review the plan. Edit the title, tasks, timing, and content and then confirm.
  5. Provide any missing content links, and choose a measure when the plan includes a milestone.
  6. Approve creation and publishing.

The agent adds the learning content, creates the program, and publishes it.

  7. Confirm who to enroll and the start date. If someone is missing the Enablement user permission, approve or decline the agent's offer to assign it.
  8. Approve enrollment.
  9. Open the published program from the link the agent returns. Confirm that the program is published, the exercises point at your content, and the people you named are enrolled with the start date.

To change the program after people are enrolled, ask the agent to unassign users and unpublish it. After the program is updated and republished, the agent can reassign those users.

Warning
Warning

Unassigning users and unpublishing a program permanently erases all previous progress and reporting data.
