Prediction Results on Records

Einstein Prediction Builder answers questions about the future of your business. How much is the deal likely to be worth? Which customers are likely to renew their subscription? You get answers in the form of scores on records and insights.

Whether you’re an admin or a user who takes action on prediction results, you can view prediction scores on records. Three types of results can appear on records: prediction scores, top predictors, and confidence range.

Prediction Scores

Prediction scores are the numbers returned by a prediction. Scores are saved in a custom field that’s created when the prediction is built (1).

Prediction score on a record

For yes/no predictions, such as, Is this product likely to sell? the score is a number from 0 through 100 that represents the likelihood of a yes.

For numeric predictions (Beta), the score is the actual predicted value. If you’re predicting revenue in dollars, a score of 1,715,000 is the predicted revenue.

Top Predictors

If a prediction and the record page layout show the Einstein Predictions component, you see top predictors on records. Top predictors are fields (and in some cases their values) that influence a score the most. For example, a top predictor of the likelihood to renew a subscription can be Industry is Technology.

If a top predictor value is blank, it means that the field being blank is a good predictor. For example, Competitor is blank indicates that the Competitor field is a top predictor of the outcome when it's not populated.

Confidence Range

Numeric predictions (Beta) that show the Einstein Predictions component on records also display a confidence range. This range shows the low and high values of the actual score. For example, a score of 420,000 could have a confidence range of 398,000–446,000.
