Note Salesforce in Claude is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms
at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if
executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta
service is at the Customer's sole discretion.
To get started, say "configure," "set me up," "onboard me," or "get me started." You can also use /configure. If it's your first time using Salesforce in Claude, you're prompted to run it automatically.
Configure never runs on its own in the middle of a conversation. Ask for it directly, or accept the first-run prompt.
Important Configure requires an active Salesforce connection. If you haven't
connected yet, Claude asks you to connect the Sales Cloud server through
/mcp before continuing.
When you run Configure, Claude:
- Sets up a recurring daily Salesforce Updates task that keeps the task itself current and version-aligned.
- Gathers your role, recently viewed Salesforce records, recent activity, and open opportunities on accounts that you own.
- Welcomes you and shows a quick menu of what you can do next.
- Builds Your Sales Intelligence, a live view of your book of business, on request.
Note Connecting Slack is optional and doesn't affect what Configure sets up — it only changes
the wording of your welcome message.
