When a geographic assignment rule is large enough to split into child territories, choose whether to publish non-boundary assignment rules on the parent territory or on each child territory. The Parent territory option remains the default and matches the previous behavior.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions. A Sales Planning add-on license is required.
Why: When you publish manual assignments to Sales Territories, Territory Planning leaves existing manual assignments in place.
How: From an alignment with geographic territories, select Publish to Sales
Territories and specify the publish settings. If a territory is too large,
select the option to split it into child territories. For the Publish non-boundary assignment
rules on field, select Parent territory or Child
territories.
